On Saturday, December 1, a woman purchased over $300 in dog food, cat food, and other pet supplies from the Peachtree City PetSmart. She then told the cashier to donate the entire contents of her shopping cart to volunteers for the Fayette County Humane Society, who were holding pet adoptions and taking Santa photos in the store that day. A volunteer tried to catch up with the woman in the parking lot to thank her. She gave her name only as “Jenny” and declined to be photographed. Nevertheless, for the rescued dogs and cats of the Fayette County Humane Society, there really is a Santa Claus.
