Grand Opening of Fresh Market in Peachtree City!

Like many residents of Peachtree City and Fayette County, I have been counting down the days until the Fresh

Fresh Market Store Manager, Cornell Wilson, welcomes shoppers to grand opening.

Market opened on the corner of Hwy 54 and North Peachtree Parkway in the Peachtree Crossings Shopping Center. I picked up my mom, braved the drizzle and the crowds, and headed for the grand opening on March 9. The first 1,000 guests got a complimentary reusable shopping bag and sample bag of coffee. Friendly store employees were also passing out other samples including fresh orange juice, fruit and baked goods.

I ran into a ton of friends at the market. Peachtree City Mayor Don Haddix was there welcoming residents to our newest business. I think it will be a place where you will always run into friends as you dash in for just a few items. I caught up with the store manager, Cornell Wilson, and congratulated him on a wonderful addition to our community.

There is a colorful section of fresh cut flowers and potted orchids as you enter the store. The store is clean and welcoming, and I know it will be easy to maneuver the aisles – except for opening day!

The produce is beautiful.  The baked goods look scrumptious and the coffee is delicious. I brought some lump cake cakes on sale at the fish market. There are bins of candy, nuts and assorted items I have never heard of! I loved the aisle of sauces, virgin olive oils and tapenades.

All the store owners in the Peachtree Crossings Shopping Center have been waiting for the grand opening of Fresh Market. This exciting new market will give some much-needed vibrancy to this shopping area. If you plan to check out the store, don’t forget to stop by Omega Books just down the way and congratulate owner Karen Duncan on celebrating 25 years of providing new and used books to our residents.
