I am Nancy J. Lewis and am happy to be a part of the Fayette Woman Magazine family. Blogging is new to me, but I am excited to have a venue to share inspiration, encouragement, and tools for developing a better you. For me, providing information to help others be better is a great opportunity to minister on a day to day basis.
I am a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved to Atlanta over 20 years ago. I have an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology and Masters Degree in Urban & Public Affairs in Human Resources. I am married to a wonderful man, Rev. Kevin E. Lewis who is my best friend and greatest fan . We have three grown sons, Kevin, Aaron, and Brian. I am blessed with a loving family and friends who support and encourage me everyday.
I worked for many companies throughout my career and am a former Dale Carnegie instructor where I taught with them for 13 years in the metro Atlanta area. I also taught as a adjunct faculty instructor at Georgia State University for several years. Speaking and training have been a passion for me for many years. I began my entrepreneurial journey 13 years ago as president of Progressive Techniques, Inc. where the theme of our organization is “Developing a Better You!’ Our organization provides management development seminars, keynotes, and one-on-0ne business coaching. Our topic areas are leadership, diversity, customer service, and personal development.I feel blessed to walk in my purpose and do what I know God has called me to do. It is a privilege to get up each day and be excited about what you do and to know that the lives you touch through the spoken or written word are transformed because people recognize greatness lives inside them.
I welcome your ideas and thoughts on what you want shared in this blog, as this is your blog too. So let me hear from you as we move forward to be the best we can be in the midst of a world filled with change and chaos. Challenge yourself to stretch and grow, throw the box away, and create a new pathway for greatness in 2010.
