“Love where you’re at! Love and believe in yourself. In doing so, all other things will fall into place.”
People say Jolie Ryff is the kind of person who makes others want to do better. In addition to being a varsity soccer player and straight-A student at Whitewater High School, Jolie is an avid volunteer. At Azalea Estates Assisted Living, one of her favorite activities is calling bingo for the residents on Friday nights. She also made and decorated Christmas cookies with the residents last year. The activity director says residents love her and her mom says Jolie, who also volunteers at the Central Presbyterian Church Men’s Homeless shelter in Atlanta, enjoys the company of the elderly and homeless “almost as much as her friends and family.” Jolie, herself, says one of her greatest achievements is being a valued member of her family.
Jolie likes to play sports, spend time with friends, and volunteer. She says that as long as she’s active, she’s satisfied, no matter the sport, and that her friends always bring happiness to her life, so she makes spending time with them a priority. Jolie would like to study botany in college and hopes to attend on an athletic scholarship for soccer. Beyond college, she hopes to travel and someday start a family of her own.
