If you believe resort style amenities like chef-prepared meals served in a gorgeous dining room, beautifully landscaped outdoor walking paths, secured courtyards and spacious accomodations are just not possible in a senior living community that’s close to home, you’d be right. Until now, that is!
Heartis Fayetteville, a new state of the art independent living, assisted living and memory care senior community is on track to open their doors to its first residents in the Spring of 2018. Construction is already underway in Fayetteville along Georgia Highway 54 West near the intersection of Ginger Cake Road. The new facility is the first Heartis senior living community in Georgia and is part of a major expansion into the Southeastern United States by Texas based Caddis Healthcare, which has similar communities in Texas as well as several other states.
Heartis Fayetteville will be managed by Frontier Management, an experienced senior living operations management company headquartered in Portland, Oregon, which manages 10 other Heartis communities across the country. William Swearingen, Frontier Management’s VP of Marketing and Sales, explains, “Partnering with Caddis to oversee the Heartis communities is a perfect fit for Frontier as we already had a lot of experience serving some eighty communities across the U.S. and we have great people already in place in Fayetteville, including Keith Spencer, our Regional VP and Gina Harris, who is our Marketing Director at Heartis Fayetteville.”
A Texas native, Swearingen brings his Southern values, including a genuine love for people into his work. “Early on in my career in 1989, before I joined Frontier, I had the marvelous opportunity to meet Ann Richards, the former governor of Texas. She said something to me that day I’ll never forget. ‘Young man, you obviously care. But you will never win the war if you don’t get on the battlefield!’ he recalls. “This work is deeply personal to me, as three out of my four grandparents died of Alzheimer’s disease. Our goal with all of our Heartis communities is to treat every resident, whether they are in independent, assisted or memory care living, as a grown adult living an adult life with a strong emphasis on life enrichment and continuous learning.”
Heartis Fayetteville will feature three buildings totaling 157,029 square feet, housing 80 independent living units, 56 assisted living apartments and 32 memory care units. And although the memory care units have specific physical features that make them valuable, it’s the attention to the special programming and underlying lifelong learning philosophy on which they are built, based on the work of Boston’s Dr. Cameron Camp and his incorporation of Montessori principles, that make the facility truly unique.
As Frontier’s William Swearingen puts it, “We want to be a thread in the fabric of the local quilt instead of trying to bring in a whole new quilt. We are not here to write the end of your life but to help you write a new chapter and to help you or your loved one live a vibrant and engaged life.”
Gina Harris invites the public to visit the sales office located at at 110 Howard Lane, Suite B, Fayetteville at the intersection of Ginger Cake Road and Highway 54 or to call the office at 770-461-2555 for more information.
