So if your family is like many families, you have guests coming in for the holidays with their fourteen bags (even though they’re “only staying for a couple of days”), those eight-year-old twins that everyone HATES loves, and that collie that is not quite potty trained.
Everyone knows the basics when it comes to a good guest room…the clock, the towels, the extra toiletries. But if you want an exquisite guest room…one that will really wow your mother-in-law guests, there are certain elements that you simply must have…
A sturdy luggage rack
A carafe’
A great chair
Impressive storage
Sheek linens
A great snack
Last but not least… A swanky bed tray
Check out a few rooms for a little inspiration…
So tell me…Did I miss anything???

Thanks so much for commenting, Peggy! I’m sure you’ll be able to find something…Have a great Christmas holiday!!!
That must be so exciting to have your daughter coming into town, Bonnie! So glad you’ll be able to use a few ideas! And don’t worry…I’m sure she won’t miss the $400 carafe
!!! Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!!!
Hey Jill! Thanks so much for commenting….It’s not difficult at all to add great touches to impress any guest in your home! Merry Christmas!!!
I have no company coming to stay this year-but these rooms still make me want to spiffy mine up a little. I think when my mother-in-law comes next tiem we’ll go shopping and see if we can find a carafe for less than $395.:-)Thanks Kenya!
Gorgeous rooms. My daughter is coming tomorrow and I am working on the guest room right now! Will incorporate a couple of your ideas. Can’t afford most of the stuff…but you can always create a relaxing oasis for someone if you try. Merry Christmas.
Ok, so my guest room is nothing like these rooms! But you are right, a little attention to detail really makes a difference. I have two friends I love to stay with because they have wonderful guest rooms outfitted with all the little extras – a home away from home. I have some work to do…
