“The Scranage Advantage” is the business tagline of real estate agent Cheri Scranage, and it serves a double purpose. First, since it sort of rhymes, it’s an amusing way to help people remember how to pronounce her last name. Second, it reflects the qualities she brings to the table for her clients: As an associate broker for the venerable real estate firm Harry Norman, Realtors she helps buyers choose the home that fits them perfectly, and she helps sellers get the highest dollar for their homes in the shortest amount of time.
“My job is to make the process of buying or selling a home as easy as possible for my clients,” she says. “I guide, educate and counsel my clients every step of the way.”
A native of the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, Cheri relocated to Peachtree City with her husband and two children in 1988 because of her husband’s career with Delta Airlines. Cheri explains that selling real estate was a natural choice for her. “I’ve loved living in Peachtree City for the past 25 years, and appreciate the growth of Fayetteville, Senoia, Newnan and Sharpsburg.”
Although every day is different, a typical day might involve networking with her client base, fielding questions about the current real estate market, showing 10 to 12 homes, and placing a new house on the market. One of her favorite aspects of her job is meeting and interacting with so many new people. “The human element of real estate provides a new experience with each transaction,” she explains. Ultimately, though, it’s about the relationships she builds and the people she helps. “What’s most rewarding about my job are the connections I make with my clients and the satisfaction of their hugs at the end of the transaction,” Cheri says.
