Atlanta Ice Cream Festival July 27
The third Atlanta Ice Cream Festival (AICF) will take place July 27, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Piedmont Park. This year’s event features local Atlanta ice cream shops, a kid zone, and health and wellness vendors.
The Atlanta Ice Cream Festival was created for the love of America’s most enjoyed sweet treat with a focus on families and the community. Local ice cream vendors will feature their coolest ice cream flavors to beat the summer heat. The festival will also have food vendors serving tofu to barbecue.
“I created the event with two goals in mind – a day for families and to support local businesses,” explains Kevin James, festival director. “This is a time to put down the electronics, eat some ice cream, break a little sweat, and simply enjoy quality time with your family.”
This year’s festival is implementing a health and wellness focus by adding a kid’s zone, health screenings, and fitness experts. AICF is where ice cream meets fitness. Kids can show off their hula hoop and jump roping skills while parents get healthy food tips. According to James, it’s an event focused on mind, body and family for greater life balance.
Atlanta Ice Cream Festival has been creating family fun since 2010. It is one of Atlanta’s premier family festivals that is open to the public attracting more than 7,000 attendees and growing. With a focus on family and the support of local businesses, AICF brings the community together with fun and edutainment. Visit www.atlantaicecreamfestival.com for updates and information.
